Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Broom Service is made by Barú Software Co. (“we”). This policy explains what the Broom Service app for iPhone does with your information. The short version: your photos and videos never leave your iPhone, there is no account, no ads and no tracking.
Your photos and videos
- Broom Service reads your library only with the Photos permission you grant in iOS, and you can limit it to selected photos at any time in Settings.
- Everything it finds (duplicates, similar shots, blurry photos, sizes) is worked out on your iPhone. We never receive your photos, videos, thumbnails, faces, locations or file names.
- When you open a photo that is stored only in iCloud, iOS downloads your own copy from Apple so you can see it. Strict Offline Mode in the app’s Privacy Report turns this off.
- Nothing is deleted until you confirm. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days.
What stays on your iPhone
Scan results, the photos you chose to keep, your preferences and reminders, and the thumbnails shown in the Home Screen widget (only if you turn on photos in widgets; they are hidden while your iPhone is locked). Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Purchases
Broom Service Plus is sold through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, Apple Account or card. To confirm and restore Plus, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the purchase record from Apple together with a random ID the app creates. That ID is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. This is the “Purchases” entry on our App Store privacy label.
Diagnostics
If you choose “Share with App Developers” in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple sends us anonymous crash and performance reports. The app also keeps a performance log on your iPhone that leaves it only if you share it yourself from Settings; it contains timings and counts, never photos, names or IDs of your items.
What we don’t do
- No account or sign-in.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We don’t sell or share personal information.
Children
Broom Service is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your choices and rights
You can change Photos access in iOS Settings, turn on Strict Offline Mode, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. We hold no personal data about you; if you want the purchase record at RevenueCat deleted or have any question about your rights, write to us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
